What are the characteristics of the piston system in the cosmetic pump body

The piston system is one of the key components inside the cosmetic pump, responsible for the extraction and push of liquid. The design of the piston system directly affects the performance, stability and service life of the pump.
Piston material selection
Pistons are usually made of soft rubber, silicone, or other chemical-resistant materials. These materials need to be compatible with cosmetic ingredients and prevent chemical reactions and material dissolution. Silicone and rubber have good elasticity and can generate sufficient pressure when pushing liquid.
Piston shape and structure
The piston usually has a cylindrical or tapered shape to fit within the space within the pump body. Its bottom is usually conical in shape, matching the structure inside the pump body to ensure that the liquid can be fully pumped and pushed. The piston design also needs to take into account the viscosity of the product to ensure it can push liquid effectively under different conditions.
The combination of piston and spring
The piston is usually combined with one or more springs to ensure rapid rebound after the user releases the pump head. This design helps to form a positive push of liquid in the pump body. The material and elasticity of the spring need to be precisely designed to adapt to the use needs of different products.
Piston system sealing
The sealing of the piston system is an important factor in ensuring the normal operation of the pump body. There is usually a sealing ring between the piston and the pump body, which is usually made of rubber or silicone material, to ensure that there is no leakage when the pump body pushes the liquid.
How the piston system works
When the user presses the pump head, the piston is compressed, forming a negative pressure on the liquid in the pump body. At the same time, the suction valve opens and the liquid is sucked into the pump body. When the user releases the pump head, the spring quickly pushes the piston back to its original position, and the liquid push valve closes, forming a forward push of liquid in the pump body. This working principle ensures that the product can be precisely controlled and dispensed.
Piston system durability and stability
The design of the piston system needs to take into account the service life and stability of the product. Reasonable design can ensure that the piston remains elastic after multiple uses and ensures the normal operation of the pump body.
